November Monthly Meeting
On November 21st, MBSA had its monthly general meeting. Students were divided into grade levels and they rotated through four stations. In one station, students played a game to see how much they know about MBSA. Grades were divided into teams to see who can earn the most points. In another station, there was a slideshow presentation given to remind students about the requirements for MBSA. They also completed a survey at the end recommending what improvements could be made to the academy. A heads up style game was played at another station, where grades were divided into teams and chose one person per team to be the guesser, and the rest of the team had to give hints on the medical word/medical profession for the guesser to guess what is on their forehead. In the last station, there was a presentation given on Four Diamonds, an organization whose mission is to eradicate childhood cancer by providing care and innovative research. Four Diamonds has helped 100 percent of the childhood cancer patients who have been treated at Penn State Children's Hospital. A few students in MBSA are hosting a dance called mini-thon in March to help raise money and awareness.
