Poe Health Fair
Enloe MBSA consistently does outreach to the community to leave an impact on the community and inspire others. At the Poe Health Fair, juniors from Enloe High School made tri-folds displaying information, games for elementary schoolers, and received prizes for elementary school students to be given.
My group presented the topic of dental hygiene. We made a very creative and brightly-colored poster of how to brush teeth properly and what foods to avoid to maintain good dental hygiene. We included information, such as "Brush your teeth twice a day!!" and "Brush for at least two minutes a day!!", as well as pictures to make the experience for the kids as interactive as possible.
We also included a game, in the game kids brushed a laminated sheet of teeth to remove germs. After they did so, we gave them a choice between receiving a toothbrush, toothpaste, a timer, and floss. We received these prizes from various dentistries in the area. The elementary schoolers, my group, and I had an amazing and very fun time in the Poe Health Fair.
