MBSA Students Win 2017 Lenovo App Challenge Fan Favorite!

While attending NAF Next, MBSA students Justin Miller, Guna Yarramareddy, Vedatman Soham Basu, and I, Arvind Rajan (left to right), won the 2017 Lenovo Scholar Network App Development Competition title of Fan Favorite for our app CPRonDemand.

CPRonDemand is a user-friendly app that guides the user through CPR in the event of cardiac arrest. Check out our video demo of our app at bit.ly/2uaOitb. We had come a long developing it, and we received coverage on media platforms like ABC 11 and G105's Bobby and the Showgram.

The mobile app competition is part of the Lenovo Scholar Network, a partnership that Lenovo and NAF created in 2014 to encourage greater interest among high school students in STEM subjects, while enabling them with entrepreneurial and technology skills needed to pursue careers in computer science, programming and engineering. They provided us with Lenovo laptops and tablets to code and provided us resources along the way.

MBSA is extremely grateful to NAF and Lenovo for presenting us with the opportunity to compete in this challenge and we hope to continue competing in the future.
